இன்று டொராண்டோவில் சுமந்திரன் ஆற்றிய நீண்ட உரையின் முழுவடிவம்
இன்று மாலை பெரிய சிவன் கோவில் அரங்கில் திரு குகதாசன் (ததேகூ (கனடா) தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற “கலப்பு குற்றவியல் விசாரணை கோரி அமெரிக்கா – இலங்கை கூட்டாக ஐநாமஉ பேரவைியல் முன்மொழிந்துள்ள தீர்மானமும் தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பின் நிலைப்பாடும்” பற்றி திரு ம.ஆ. சுமந்திரன், நா.உ. சிறப்புரை ஆற்றினார்.
இங்கு தொடர்ந்து உரையாற்றிய அவர்கள், அமெரிக்காவின் குறித்த தீர்மானத்திற்கு சார்பாக இலங்கையும் கையெழுத்திட்டுள்ளதால், இவ்விசாரணை இலங்கையின் இறையாண்மைக்கு பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தாதெனவும், யுத்தக் குற்ற விசாரணை தொடர்பில் இலங்கையில் உள்ள சிங்கள மக்களுக்கு நியாயப்படுத்தவேண்டிய ஒரு தேவை அரசாங்கத்திற்கு உள்ளதால் அதில் பொதுநலவாய நாடுகளின் நீதவான்கள் மற்றும் ஏனைய நாடுகளின் நீதவான்கள் என்ற சொற்பதம் பாவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக குறிப்பிட்டார்
எனினும், யுத்தக் குற்ற விசாரணையை தனியே இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்திடம் மட்டும் கொடுத்தால், பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு அநீதி இழைக்கப்படுகின்றதென, பலத்த குரலில் சொல்வோம் என தாம் ஜெனீவாவில் தெரிவித்ததாக சுமந்திரன் இதன்போது குறிப்பிட்டார்.
பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு நியாயத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள இந்த சந்தர்ப்பத்தை பயன்படுத்திக்கொள்வோம் என குறிப்பிட்ட அவர்,பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் தொடரபில் பொறுப்புக்கூற வேண்டியவர்கள் பொறுப்புக்கூற வேண்டுமென்றும், உண்மைகள் வெளிக்கொணரப்பட வேண்டுமெனவும், பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு இழப்பீடு பெற்றுக்கொடுக்கப்பட வேண்டுமெனவும் அவர் தெரிவித்தார்

I attended this meeting. It was a beautiful speech by Hon.MP Sumenthiran.However, I was not satisfied because the solution he was talking about is to be within Sri Lanka. We believe that Tamils can live safely only in a country of their own. There is no room for Genocide. I would like Hon. Sumenthiran to explain this to the US and other countries at this time when he has a good relationship with them. I would much appreciate that TNA keeps out of India. India is always anti-Tamil except for Hon. Indra Gandhi and other holy persons. Sumenthiran also clarified about the Genocide. He said people have misunderstood him about what he said. He believes that what happened to Tamils was Genocide. He had already stated this in the Parliament of Sri Lanka that the killings of Tamils were Genocide. He stated in Parlament two times and anyone can see this in the Parliament official document Hansard. So what he says is we have not yet proved this in the UN Report that was released now. However, UN High Commissioner has left it open as it may come up later. Fair enough. He also spoke about other issues.
