Canadian Tamils stage boisterous black flag demonstration against Arjuna Ranatunga, MP
More than 1,000 Canadian Thamils staged a boisterous but peaceful black flag demonstration against the presence of Arjuna Ranatunga, Member of Parliament of the ruling UPFA government at the 2008 CSL Awards Gala hosted by Can Indo Lanka and held at Double Tree International Hotel (No. 655 Dixon Road) on March 28, 2008. Arjuna Ranatunga was billed as the Chief Guest at the event which was supported by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Ottawa. The Thamil Creative Writers Association (TCWA) organized the black flag demonstration. Demonstrators braved the biting cold that dropped to -15 degree Celsius. Speakers at the demonstration described Arjuna Ranatunga as a vehement supporter of the National Patriotic Front (NPF) which is a virulent Sinhala – Buddhist outfit consisting mainly of Buddhist Bhikkus. NPF is also the front organization of another extremist party styled Jathika Vimukti Peramuna (JVP). Shouts of “Arjuna Ranatunga is a racist” rent the air.
Though the 2008 CSL Awards Gala event was widely advertised to attract 500 guests only 60 attended the. In terms of attendance the event was a fiasco. More than a dozen 23 Division Police with back up vehicles were seen providing security inside and outside the Hotel premises.
Addressing the demonstrators at the conclusion of the protest rally Veluppillai Thangavelu, President TCWA, declared that through this demonstration Thamil Canadians want to send a strong message to the Mahinda Rajapakse’s racist government that any attempt to divide the Thamils and foist synthetic leadership on them will end in failure. Not only the Thamils in Thamil Eelam, but also the entire Thamil Diaspora are solidly behind the LTTE which is the vanguard force of our liberation struggle.”
He appealed to Thamils in Diaspora to double their efforts to help to win freedom for our people who are now reeeling under he kackboot of the Sinhala armed forces. Jaffna is an open prison occupied by more than 50, 000 Sinhala soldiers.
Speaking further Thangavelu accused the government of President Mahinda Rajapkse of seeking a military solution by invading Thamil homeland. The call by the international community to stop the war and negotiate peace with the Liberation Tigers of Thamil Eelam (LTTE), the authentic representative of the Thamil people, has been spurned by the government. The Sinhala armed forces are using heavy multi-barrel artilleries and Kfir fighter bombers to bomb and kill civilians and destroy their homes. Thamil civilians are also subject to unlawful killings by government agents, assassinations by unknown perpetrators, politically motivated killings, involuntary disappearances, economic blockade, abductions for ransom by Para military forces associated with the government, arbitrary arrests and indefinite detentions, denial of fair public trial, infringement of freedom of movement etc.
More than 5,000 Thamils have been killed since President Rajapakse came to power in November, 2005. . In 2007 alone 1,000 Thamils have been killed by the Sinhala armed forces and the Quisling armed groups operating along with the army. Four Thamil National Alliance (TNA) Members of Parliament have been assassinated by the army intelligence wing, 2 of them inside places of worship! Sri Lanka is the only country that enjoys the dubious distinction of bombing its own citizens on a daily basis under the guise of fighting “terrorism!” “The Sri Lankan government is not only racist but fascist as well” he concluded.
He also thanked ThamilCholai, CTR, CTBC, Geethavani, TVI, print media, Babu Catering and 23 Division Police for their valuable support and co-operation.
The black flag demonstration which commenced at 5.00 pm was concluded at 7.30 pm.

மார்ச்சு மாதம் 28 ஆம் நாள் Can Indo Lanka என்ற அமைப்பு தமிழினப் படுகொலையை அரங்கேற்றிவரும் ஸ்ரீலங்கா – ஒட்டாவா தூதரகத்தின் ஆதரவோடு DoubleTree International Hotel, நடந்த 2008 CSL Awards Gala இரவு விருந்தில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்து கொண்ட சிங்கள பேரினவாதி எனப் பெயரெடுத்த அருச்சுன இரணதுங்காவுக்கு எதிராகப் பெரும் கருப்புக் கொடி போராட்டம் நடந்தது. இந்தப் போராட்டத்தை தமிழ்ப் படைப்பாளிகள் கழகம் முன்னின்று நடத்தியது. கருப்புக் கொடி போராட்டத்தில் கருப்புக் கொடிகளையும் முழக்க அட்டைகளையும் தாங்கிய சுமார் ஆயிரம் தமிழ் உணர்வாளர்கள் – பெண்கள் உட்பட – கடுங்குளிரிலும் (சுழியத்துக்குக் கீழே 15 பாகை) பலத்த காற்றிலும் கலந்து கொண்டார்கள்.
உணர்வாளர்கள் தாங்கிப் பிடித்த முழக்க அட்டைகளில் பின்வரும் முழங்கங்கள் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்தன.

INDICT MAHINDA RAJAPAKSE FOR WAR CRIMES மகிந்தா இராசபக்சேயைப் போர்க் குற்றங்களுக்கு நீதமன்றத்தில் நிறுத்து! கூட்டத்தினர் வரிசையாக நடைபாதையில் சிறிது நேரம் சுற்றிச் சுற்றி நடந்தனர். இடையிடையே உணர்வாளர்கள் “யுசதரயெ சுயயெவரபெய ளை ய சயஉளைவ” என்ற முழக்கம் வானைப் பிழந்தது. 15 க்கும் அதிகமான காவல்துறையினர் ஹோட்டல் உள்ளும் வெளியும் காவலுக்கு நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தனர். ஒரு நோயாளி காவி வண்டிகூட நிறுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தது. 500 பேர் கலந்து கொள்வதாக விளம்பரப்படுத்தப்பட்ட இரவு விருந்தில் 60 பேரே கலந்து கொண்டனர். அதில் மூன்று அல்லது நான்கு விரல் விட்டு எண்ணக்கூடிய தமிழர்களே கலந்து கொண்டனர். எதிர்ப்புப் போராட்டத்தில் கலந்து கொண்ட தமிழ் உணர்வாளர்களுக்கு படைப்பாளிகள் கழகத் தலைவர் நன்றி கூறினார். தமிழ்மக்களையும் வி.புலிகளையும் யாரும் பிரிக்க முடியாது. அப்படிப் பிரிக்க எத்தனிக்கும் சிங்கள - பவுத்த தீவிரவாதியான மகிந்த இராசபக்சே சரி, மற்றவர்கள் சரி அதில் வெற்றி பெறமுடியாது. மக்கள் புலத்தில் உள்ள மக்கள் மட்டுமல்ல, புலம்பெயர்ந்த மக்களும் ; பிரபாகரன் பக்கம் என்ற செய்தியைத்தான் இந்த கருப்புக்கொடி ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் மூலம் வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளோம். இந்த எதிர்ப்புப் போராட்டம் வெற்றிபெறக் கைகொடுத்த தமிழ்ச்சோலை வானொலி, கீதவாணி, கனடிய தமிழ் வானொலி, கனேடிய தமிழ் ஒலிபரப்புக் கூட்டுத்தாபன வானொலி, தமிழ்த்தொலைக் காட்வி (வுஏஐ) செய்தித் தாள்கள், பாபு கேட்டறிங், ரொறன்ரோ காவல்துறை எல்லோருக்கும் நக்கீரன் நன்றி தெரிவித்தார். இந்தக் கருப்புக் கொடி போராட்டத்தை தமிழ்ச்சோலை வானொலி, கனடிய தமிழ் வானொலி, கனேடிய தமிழ் ஒலிபரப்புக் கூட்டுத்தாபன வானொலி, கீதவாணி ஆகியவை நேரடி ஒலிபரப்புச் செய்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

BLACK FLAG DEMONSTRATION AGAINST ARJUNA RANATUNGA, MEMBER OF SRI LANKA PARLIAMENT
TCWA will stage a black flag demonstration against the presence of Arjuna Ranatunga, Member of Parliament of the ruling UPFA government. He is a vehement supporter of the National Patriotic Front (NPF) which is a virulent Sinhala – Buddhist outfit consisting mainly of Buddhist Bhikkus. NPF is also the front organization of another extremist party styled Jathika Vimukti Peramuna (JVP). Arjuna Ranatunga has been invited as the Chief Quest at 2008 CSL Awards Gala hosted by Can Indo Lanka and held at Double Tree International Hotel (No. 655 Dixon Road) on March 28, 2008 at 5.00 p.m. The event is supported by the Sri Lankan High Commsission at Ottawa.

எதிர்வரும் மார்ச்சு மாதம் 15ஆம் நாள் Can Indo Lanka என்ற அமைப்பு தமிழினப் படுகொலையை அரங்கேற்றிவரும் ஸ்ரீலங்கா தூதரகத்தின் ஆதரவோடு 2008 CSL Awards Gala என்ற நிகழ்ச்சியை DoubleTree International Hotel, Toronto இல் நடத்த இருக்கிறது. ஸ்ரீலங்கா சுற்றுலா அவை (Sri Lanka Tourist Boars) மற்றும் ஸ்ரீலங்கா முதலீடுகள் அவை (Board of Investments of Sri Lanka ஆகியனவும் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு ஆதரவு வழங்குகின்றன.
இந்த நிகழ்ச்;சிக்கு சிறப்புவிருந்தினராக சிறீலங்கா நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் அர்ச்சுனா இரணதுங்கா அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். அவரது வருகையை எதிர்த்து கருப்புக்கொடி ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்து முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தை தமிழ்ப் படைப்பாளிகள் கழகம் உட்பட பல சமூக அமைப்புக்களும் ஊர்ச்சங்கங்களும் முன்னின்று நடத்துகின்றன. கடந்த இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக சிங்கள அரசு தமிழர்கள் மீது ஒரு கொடிய இனவழிப்புப் போரைக் கட்டவுழ்த்து விட்டுள்ளது. பயங்கரவாதத்துக்கு எதிரான போர் என்ற போர்வைக்குப் பின்னால் ஒரு இனப் படுகொலையை (Genocide) மகிந்த இராசபக்சேயின் அரசு அரங்கேற்றி வருகிறது. அந்த அரசினால் அர்ச்சுன இரணதுங்க ஸ்ரீலங்கா துடுப்பாட்டு அவையின் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
அர்ச்சுனா இரணதுங்கா ஒரு கடைந்தெடுத்த சிங்களப் பேரினவாதி எனப் பெயர் எடுத்தவர். சிங்கள இனவாத சக்திகளுடன் கைகோர்த்துக்கொண்டு நிற்பவர். பிபிசி மற்றும் செய்தித்தாள்களுக்குச் பலமுறை செவ்வி கொடுத்த அர்ச்சுனா இரணதுங்கா தான் தேசபிரேமி ஜனதா அமைப்பின் (Patriotic National Front PNF) வளர்ச்சிக்குத் தொடர்ந்து உழைக்கப் போவதாகக் கூறயிருக்கிறார். தேசப்பிரேமி அமைப்பு சிங்கள – பவுத்த- பேரினவாத ஜாதிக விமுக்தி பெரமுன அமைப்பின் முன்னணி (front) அமைப்பாகும். தேசபிரேமி ஜனதா அமைப்பு சுதந்திரக் கட்சி, ஜாதிக விமுக்தி பெரமுன போன்ற கட்சிகளின் உதவியுடன் அய்க்கிய தேசியக் கட்சி, இடதுசாரிக் கட்சிகள், மனிதவுரிமை அமைப்புக்கள், போருக்கு எதிராகக் குரல் கொடுக்கும் அமைப்புக்கள் போன்றவற்றுக்கு எதிராக செயல்பட சிங்கள எழுத்தாளர்கள், கவிஞர்கள், தொழிலாளர்கள், கமக்காரர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள்ஈ ஆயுள்வேத வைத்தியர்கள் மற்றும் பல்கலைக் கழக மாணவர்களை அணி திரட்டும் பணியைச் செய்கிறது. . இந்த அமைப்பு முன்னர் கருணா கூலிப்படையை ஆதரித்தது. இப்போது பிள்ளையான் கூலிப்படைக்கு ஆதரவாகச் செயல்படுகிறது.
ஸ்ரீலங்கா ஒட்டாவா தூதரகம், Can – Indo Lanka என்ற அமைப்பு ஊடாகக் கனடியத் தமிழர்கள் இடையே எட்டப்பர்களை வலைவீசிப் பிடிக்கு முகமாக பத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட தமிழர்களுக்கு விருதுகளை தமிழ்மக்களின் குருதி நனைந்த அர்ச்சுன இரணதுங்காவின் கையினால் வழங்க முன்வந்துள்ளது. ஆனால் அந்த விருதுகளை வாங்க சம்பந்தப்பட்டவகள் மறுத்துவிட்டதாகத் தெரிகிறது. மீறிக் கலந்து கொள்வோர் சமூகப் புறக்கணிப்புக்கு உள்ளாவார்கள் என எதிர்பார்க்கலாம்.
அண்மையில் பிரித்தானியாவில் இருந்த; 6 தமிழ் எட்டப்பர்களையும் 3 முஸ்லிம் பிரமுகர்களையும் ஸ்ரீலங்கா வெளியுறவு அமைச்சு வரியிறுப்பாளர் செலவில வரவழைத்து கலதாரி ஹோட்டலில் தங்கவைத்து ஒரு கிழமையாக நாட்டைச் சுற்றிக்காட்டிவிட்டு திருப்பி அனுப்பி இருந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

கடந்த மார்ச்சு மாதம் 15 ஆம் நாள் Can Indo Lanka என்ற அமைப்பு தமிழினப் படுகொலையை அரங்கேற்றிவரும் ஸ்ரீலங்கா தூதரகத்தின் ஆதரவோடு 2008 CSL Awards Gala என்ற நிகழ்ச்சியை DoubleTree International Hotel, Toronto இல் நடத்த இருந்ததும் அதில் சிங்கள பேரினவாதி எனப் பெயரெடுத்த அருச்சுன இரணதுங்கா சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்து கொள்ள இருந்ததும் பின்னர் அந்த நிகழ்ச்சி மார்ச்சு மாதம் 28 ஆம் திகதிக்குத் (வெள்ளிக்கிழமை) தள்ளிப் போடப்பட்டதை அறியத்தந்திருந்தோம்.
இந்த மாத மத்தியில் கனடா வந்த அருச்சுன இரணதுங்கா இங்குள்ள கனடிய துடுப்பாட்டு அவையோடு ஒரு உடன்படிக்கையை செய்து கொண்டு பின்னர் துபாய் சென்று இறுதியாக ஸ்ரீலங்கா சென்றடைந்தார்.
இப்போது மீண்டும் கனடாவுக்கு மார்ச்சு மாதம் 28 ஆம் திகதி; (வெள்ளிக்கிழமை) நடைபெற இருக்கிற இரவு விருந்தில் கலந்து கொள்ள வருகிறார் என நம்பத்தகுந்த வட்டாரங்களில் இருந்து அறிய முடிகிறது.
எனவே எமது கருப்புக் கொடி எதிர்ப்பு ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் திட்டமிட்டபடி மார்ச்சு 28 ஆம் திகதி மாலை 5 மணிக்கு இல. 655 Dixon Road, DoubleTree International Hotel, Toronto, முன்பாக நடைபெறும் என்பதை அறியத்தருகிறோம். இதற்குரிய அனுமதியைக் காவல்துறை (23 Division)) யிடம் இருந்து பெற்றுள்ளோம்.

ஸ்ரீலங்கா துடுப்பாட்டு அவைக்குத் தலைவராக நியமனம் பெற்ற கையோடு இடைக்கால அவையின் செயலாளராக இருந்த தமிழரான கே. மதிவாணனை, அருச்சுன இரணதுங்கா மூலையில் தள்ளி, ஓரங்கட்டிச் செயலிழக்கச் செய்து அவரைப் பதவியில் இருந்து அருச்சுன இரணதுங்கா வெளியேற்றக் கூடும் எனக் கொழும்பில் இருநது வெளிவரும் Daily Mirror (March 24, 2008) செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. (Secretary of the interim committee of Sri Lanka Cricket, K. Mathivanan has been cornered and sidelined from his functions and it is feared that he could be ousted from the job by the interim committee head Arjuna Ranatunga, the Daily Mirror learns)

VISA TO ARJUN RANATUNGA TO VISIT CANADA
Dear Sir,
It is reported that Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga, Chairman, Sri Lanka Cricket Board has applied for a visa to attend a function to be held on March 28, 2008 at Double Tree International Hotel, Toronto. He has been invited by Can Indo Lanka organization for their 2008 CSL Awards Gala as the chief guest.
Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga is a UPFA Member of Parliament and has identified himself with extreme Sinhala – Buddhist outfits like the National Patriotic Front. A news item filed by Walter Jayawardhana from Los Angeles appeared in Lanka Web reads as follows:
“In various interviews with the newspapers and the BBC Arjuna Ranatunga said that hereafter he would keep on working for progress of the Deshapremi Janatha Viyaparaya (DJV) the mass organization that collected mass support of writers, poets, working class representatives, farmers, teachers and students for the anti-UNP protests that were launched with the help of the SLFP, JVP and the MEPunder the guidance of Venerable Elle Gunawansa Thero….” (www.lankaweb.com Feb 29, 2008 at 05:28 AM)
DJV is a front organization of the JVP which is breathing fire and brimstone in support of an all out war, under the cloak of fighting terrorism, to defeat the LTTE. Abrogation of the CFA was one of the key demands put forward by the JVP to vote in favour of the third reading of the budget on the 14th December, 2007 in parliament.
The Human Rights Watch (HRW) has indicted Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapaksa as “once a rights advocate,” has now led his government to become “one of the world’s worst perpetrators of enforced disappearances.” (HRW Press Release “Recurring Nightmare: State Responsibility for ‘Disappearances’ and Abductions in Sri Lanka,…………… “March 06, 2008)
According to Red Cross (ICRC) the number of civilians killed and injured in Sri Lanka has reached “appalling levels”. A total of 180 civilians died in the first six weeks of 2008 and nearly 270 more were injured. More than 1,000 people have been killed since the government withdrew from the ceasefire according to the military. (BBC – March 06, 2008)
The International Independent Group of Eminent Persons (IIGEP) invited by Mahinda Rajapakse to monitor a government commission investigating human rights abuses has resigned on Thursday (March 06, 2008) in frustration over the government’s lack of support.
GoSL is refusing to investigate, prosecute and punish human rights violators. The many ad hoc commissions of inquiry of the past two years have accomplished nothing, while disappearances and political killings continue, especially in the Jaffna peninsula. The military offensives launched by the government have caused heavy loss of lives, social oppression, political subjugation and economic deprivation. (AP – March 06, 2008)
Opposition leader Wickremasinghe told a media briefing on Wednesday (March 05) ” that armed Thamil groups Pilliayan group, EPDP, and a Muslim group mobilised by the government are in operation in the East”. Last month alone 48 Thamils have been killed, 29 abducted and 253 arrested by the armed forces.
The Jaffna District TNA parliamentarian, K. Sivanesan was killed on March 06, 2008 in a claymore attack carried out by the Sri Lanka Army Deep Penetration Unit on A-9 road, 30 minutes after he crossed into Vanni through Omanthai / Puliyangkulam entry point.
Sri Lanka is being perennially ruled under Emergency Regulations that vests sweeping powers to the armed forces to detain without charge anyone suspected of terror activity. These Regulations have been used almost exclusively against Thamils.
It is, therefore, no surprise that Mahinda Rajapakse’s government is under attack for gross human rights abuses, corruption, subversion of the rule of law, suppression of media freedom and democratic norms.
Mr.Arjuna Ranatunga being part of the government shares responsibility for the horrendous human rights violations of genocidal proportions committed against the Thamil people.
In the circumstances, we urge you NOT to issue a visa to Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga to visit Canada. To do so will tarnish the image of Canada in the eyes of the democratic world.

கனாட வரும் அர்ச்சுன இரணதுங்காவிற்கு எதிராகக் கறுப்புக் கொடி ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் – தேதி மாற்றம்
எதிர்வரும் மார்ச்சு மாதம் 15ஆம் நாள்Can Indo Lanka என்ற அமைப்பு தமிழினப் படுகொலையை அரங்கேற்றிவரும் ஸ்ரீலங்கா தூதரகத்தின் ஆதரவோடு 2008 CSL Awards Gala என்ற நிகழ்ச்சியை DoubleTree International Hotel, Toronto இல் நடத்த இருந்ததும் அதில் சிங்கள பேரினவாதி எனப் பெயரெடுத்த அர்ச்சுனா இரணதுங்கா சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்து கொள்ள இருந்ததும் தெரிந்ததே.
Can Indo Lanka என்ற அந்த அமைப்பு இப்போது குறிப்பிட்ட நிகழ்ச்சியை மார்ச்சு மாதம் 28 ஆம் திகதிக்குத் (வெள்ளிக்கிழமை) தள்ளிப் போட்டுள்ளது.
எனவே நாமும் எமது கறுப்புக் கொடி எதிர்ப்பு ஆர்ப்பாட்ட நாளை மார்ச்சு 28 ஆம் திகதிக்கு மாற்றியிருக்கிறோம் என்பதை அறியத் தருகிறோம்.
மார்ச்சு மாதம் 28 ஆம் நாள் (வெள்ளிக்கிழமை) நடைபெறவுள்ள எதிர்ப்பு ஆர்ப்பாட்டதில் கலந்து கொண்டு சிங்கள பேரினவாதத்துக்கு எதிரான பொங்கு தமிழினத்தின் உணர்வலைகளை கொடியரசுத் தலைவர் மகிந்தா இராசபக்சேக்குக் காட்டுமாறு அனைவரையும் அன்புடன் அழைக்கிறோம்.

Can Indo Lanka CSL Awards Gala at DoubleTree International Hotel, Toronto

Ours is a non-profit organization registered under Ontario provincial laws bearing Corporation Number 1653821.
The Can Indo Lanka is holding a CSL Awards Gala at DoubleTree International Hotel, situated at No.655 Dixon Road, Toronto on March 15, 2008 from 6.00 pm. The event is organized with the support of the Sri Lanka High Commission, in Ottawa and the special guest of the night is Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga, Member of Parliament, Sri Lanka.
While Can Indo Lanka is free to hold the event, we want to demonstrate peacefully against the presence of Mr.Arjun Ranatunga. He being a M.P. of the ruling party, we hold him also responsible for the horrendous human rights violations – enforced disappearances, abductions for ransom and execution style killings – taking place daily.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) has dubbed the Sri Lanka’s government as one of the world’s worst perpetrators of enforced disappearances. In its report HRW has accused the security forces and pro-government militias of abducting and “disappearing” hundreds of people – mostly Thamils – since 2006. HRW said the majority of cases “indicate the involvement of government security forces – army, navy or police”. (BBC – March 06, 2008)

தமிழ்மக்களின் குருதி நனைந்த கைகளால் கொடுக்கப்படும் விருதுகளை தமிழர்கள் கையேந்தி வாங்குவதா?
எதிர்வரும் மார்ச்சு மாதம் 15ஆம் நாள் Can Indo Lanka என்ற சஞ்சிகை தமிழினப் படுகொலையை அரங்கேற்றிவரும் ஸ்ரீலங்கா தூதரகத்தின் ஆதரவோடு 2008 CSL Awards புயடய என்ற நிகழ்ச்சியை DoubleTree International Hotel, Toronto இல் நடத்த இருக்கிறது. இந்த நிகழ்ச்;சிக்கு சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக சிறீலங்கா நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் அர்ச்சுனா இரணதுங்கா அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
இதில் வேடிக்கை கலந்த வேதனை என்னவென்றால் விருதுபெறுவோர் பட்டியலில் பத்துக்கும் அதிகமான தமிழ்க் கனேடியர்களது பெயர்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. இவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் கனடிய தமிழ்க் குமுதாயத்துக்கு நன்கு அறிமுகமானவர்கள்.
கடந்த இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக சிங்கள அரசு தமிழர்கள் மீது ஒரு கொடிய இனவழிப்புப் போரைக் கட்டவுழ்த்து விட்டுள்ளது. பயங்கரவாதத்துக்கு எதிரான போர் என்ற போர்வைக்குப் பின்னால் ஒரு இனப் படுகொலையை (genocide) மகிந்த இராசபக்சேயின் அரசு கச்சிதமாக அரங்கேற்றி வருகிறது.
கடந்த கிழமை கூட கிராஞ்சியில் ஸ்ரீலங்கா குண்டு வீச்சு மிகையொலி வானூர்திகள் நடத்திய கோரமான குண்டுத் தாக்குதலில் ஆறுமாதக் குழந்தை ஒன்று, நான்கு வயதுப் பிள்ளை ஒன்று உட்பட 9 பேர் பலியாகினார்கள். பொதுமக்களை இலக்கு வைத்து குண்டுகளைப் போட்டு விட்டு வி.புலிகளது முகாம்களைத் தாக்கி அழித்ததாக ஸ்ரீலங்கா அரசு வெட்கமோ துக்கமோ எதுவுமின்றிப் பொய் சொல்கிறது.
ஸ்ரீலங்கா ஒட்டாவா தூதரகத்தின் ஆதரவில் நடைபெறும் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் ஆளும் கட்சியைச் சேர்ந்த அர்ச்சுன இரணதுங்காவின் கையால் விருது வாங்க இருக்கும் தமிழர்களுக்கு இவையெல்லாம் தெரியாமல் இருக்க நியாயமில்லை. பின் எந்த முகத்தோடு தமிழ் மக்களின் குருதி நனைந்த இரணதுங்காவின் கைகளால் விருது வாங்கத் துடிக்கிறார்கள்?
அர்ச்சுனா இரணதுங்கா ஒரு கடைந்தெடுத்த சிங்களப் பேரினவாதி எனப் பெயர் எடுத்தவர். சிங்கள இனவாத சக்திகளுடன் கைகோர்த்துக்கொண்டு நிற்பவர். இப்போது இந்தச் செய்தியைப் படியுங்கள்.

இந்த தேசபிரேமி அமைப்பு சிங்கள இனவாத சக்திகளின் மொத்த உருவம். அந்தச் சக்திகள் ஒன்றுகலக்கும் சாக்கடை!
இதன் பின்னரும் தன்மானம், இனமானம் படைத்த எந்தத் தமிழனாவது சிங்கள பேரினவாத அரசின் ஆதரவோடு நடத்தப்படும் விழாவில் கொடுக்கப்படும் விருது எதனையும் இரண்டு கைகளையும் நீட்டி வாங்க மாட்டான் என மனதார நம்புகிறோம்.
மீறி வாங்கினால் அவர்கள் யார் யார் என்பதை கனடியத் தமிழர்கள் மத்தியில் இனம் காட்டுவோம் என்பதைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம்.
தமிழ் இனத்தை நம்பி வணிகம் செய்துகொண்டு வெறும் விருதுக்காக இனத்தையே விற்கும் இவர்களை இனியாவது கனடியத் தமிழர்கள் தக்க இடத்தில் வைப்பார்கள் என எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம்.
ஒருவேளை குறிப்பிட்ட தமிழர்களது ஒளிப் படங்களை அவர்களது ஒப்புதலின்றி செய்தித்தாள்களில் Can Indo Lanka விளம்பரம் செய்திருந்தால் அதனை எமக்கு அறியத்தருமாறு அன்போடு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.
